Are you young at heart?

Are you young at heart?

What is your intention for the week?

Ask yourself…

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?

Can you think younger this week?

Have I told you “Thank you” lately?

Have I told you “Thank you” lately?

Thank you.

Thank you for being on this list; thank you for reading my musings; thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts, feelings and ideas.

It’s a gift you give me, your time, your eyes, your mind. Thank YOU!

This week is Thanksgiving and many Americans will be sitting around a table heaped with food and family, emotions and expectations. I hope joy, love and laughter too.

My one wish for you is this. Say “Thank you.” Rather than simply saying what you are grateful for, take initiative, and say to everyone you meet all week, “Thank you!”

These two words are enough.

Are you living today? Or in the future? Past maybe?

Are you living today? Or in the future? Past maybe?

What is your intention for the week?

Ask yourself…

Do you let yesterday use up too much of today?

And/or are you focused on the holiday season events coming up?

How can you focus on the now this week!

An Interesting Question to Ask Yourself this Holy Day

If you’re reading this message, one could possibly think that you are addicted to your phone or inbox…

I won’t surmise that – what I will surmise is that you check in on things nearly every day and so this message gives value, or you know me. Ha!

Here’s my wish for you on this holy holiday, where we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Whether you believe in Him or not, or don’t give it much thought, people around the globe celebrate Christmas and we keep time by this date as well.

BC & AD – now that’s something to share with a younger generation.

And for reference from www.livescience.com “A.D.” stands for anno domini, Latin for “in the year of the lord,” and refers specifically to the birth of Jesus Christ. “B.C.” stands for “before Christ.”

Since Christ had this impact on the world, maybe in between your celebrations it would be a good time to ask this question of yourself.

What am I doing in the world to be remembered for?

When we ask ourselves deep questions, it shifts our thinking, opens our mind, and usually provides us with a new direction.

Will I be remembered for my writing? That is definitely my hope. What is yours?

There is a Crack in Everything

Leonard Cohen wrote this lovely little poem:

Ring the bells that still can ring

Forget your perfect offering.

There is a crack in everything.

That’s how the light gets in.

We are full speed into the holiday season and so it seems appropriate to remind myself, and you now too, that there is a crack in everything.

Your clients and customers are feeling the pinch of parties and end of the year planning. Your family is wanting things from you, your friends are circling with invitations, and no matter how many layers you put on, baby it’s cold outside!

So here’s a 3 step process for getting yourself back on track during the holiday season.

  1. Expose your cracks – that’s how the light gets in and makes you relatable to everyone.
  2. Accept the cracks in everyone you encounter. When we look for the light in others we find it, and connect in a better way.
  3. Repeat this phrase often enough that you believe it, “Everything has a way of working out for me!” You’ll be surprised how true this statement is.

Here’s one more thing I say and believe:

“Everything works out in the end!”

And if something hasn’t worked out – I know it’s simply not yet the end!
